Sold Cow Goat Bucket Milking System DeLaval, Gast, Leeson
I assembled this system years ago to milk several goats and a cow.
Started with the bucket and claw in the background. Found the Gast pump
at a retired milking system technician. Bought the 1.5 hp continuous
duty motor new. Scrounged the "Timer Converter" (stainless steel box on
the left) to use as a pulsator. Bought the goat cluster straight from
DeLaval (easier to find now). New liners and hose (10 years ago) from
the local farm supply store. Base is substantial.
System worked great. Kept me milking for a few more years until travel
made the whole project untenable.
Comparable systems new cost $1800 on Ebay without the goat cluster.
This has a larger motor and a somewhat more sophisticated
pump. The system is dusty just like it was when it was removed from
service. Looks rather spiffy cleaned up with a pressure washer. Rubber
parts are decent. Replacement parts (hoses and liners) are inexpensive
and except for the goat cluster - locally available.
Shipping will be a small nightmare. Without the dolly, this looks like
5 boxes and about 200 pounds. About $100 to Virginia or North Carolina. Local pickup best.
